Social Events at Mbrace is another program designed for the benefit and interest of each Revert, we try our utmost to organise programs/activities to cater for reverts in the best way possible. Some of social activities include:
Sisters United
This gathering is for Females to come along and enjoy the company of other sisters sharing their thoughts, ideas and personal experiences and building a strong sisterhood. Through these gatherings sisters will not only socialise and network but at the same time they will gain knowledge about Islam, knowledge and certainty increases an individuals in confidence, we want our reverts to be knowledged and confident in what they believe and practice.
Meet and Greet – Annual Dinner
Our Annual Mbrace Dinners are for both Males and females, The purpose behind our dinner is to allow reverts to have a lovely evening enjoying one another’s company with a small reminder from our Guest Speakers, it is also an opportunity for all guests to see and know why and what Mbrace does for reverts and many other activities on the agenda which changes yearly as well as a chance to hear YOUR input.
Reboot Retreat
A four day retreat to reboot and re-energise your faith, full of ongoing activities starting from 3.30am for Tahajjud (Night prayers), short reminders, Sports, Team building activities and a whole lot more. You will form new lifelong friends and experience the strong sense of brother/sisterhood. All this in a serene location to appreciate Allah’s beautiful creation.
Lets Break our Fast together (Ramadan)
Mbrace will have two Sundays in Ramadan to break their fast all together! We Know that coming to Islam being a revert becomes a little harder during Ramadan and Eid, especially when some family members, friends are against or skeptical about their new Faith, reverts tend to feel lonely the most at these times, so we want to remind them that they are not Alone and we are here for them!
Eid Picnic
Eid is a time for community and family spirit! Eid Picnics are designed for those revert who often have small or no family members to spend Eid with. Alhamdulilah for Islam which transcends any ethnic or cultural backgrounds and allows us to unite together as ONE, as Muslims.
